A Note from the Northgate Key Club's Advisor

Hi Fred,

The Key Club kids had a great time Saturday ringing the bell.   "Thank you" to you and George for being there with them.

For photos click on "Bell Ringing".

I wanted to get you up-to-date on this month's projects:

* We submitted dues for 27 members. There are about 6 more who are
a part of the club --- just not officially.

* We've already sent a $350 donation to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home.

* We are collecting stuffed animals to take to the fire station next door.  The rescue workers need them to take in the ambulance when
they are called to a scene where there are small children.

* We are hosting a clothing/just-about-anything-else drive for the Community Welcome House. This is a place in Newnan that houses battered women and their children.  We will reward the class that collects the most items with a doughnut party.  We've also had a bake sale where we raised nearly $200 for the shelter.

* Our Christmas party will be Tuesday, December 14, at 8:00 a.m. in my classroom here at school.  We couldn't get everybody together after school, so we opted for a breakfast party.  Everyone is supposed to bring some type of breakfast food to share.  You and George are welcome to come.

I'm so proud of our members and all the activities going on to help others.  We're still not where I want to be as far as meetings, etc., but
I'm working on it. By the way, how many members did Kiwanis want to sponsor for the district convention?  The convention will motivate the members that attend to strive for a better club. I'm going to let the club help pay some of the costs for some of the attendees.  Even I'm
getting excited! :-)

Thanks for all you do.
