Fund Raising

Bill Loftin

FUND RAISING: This committee
recommends and organizes events to raise sufficient funds to
financially support club service projects and activities within
the community. The committee also generates funds internally to
finance the club's administrative and operational costs.

Human and Spiritual
Values

Ralph Parks

Service Focus: Any project that
encourages the human and spiritual rather than the material
values of life is appropriate for this committee. Activities can
be as diverse as birthday parties at nursing homes and support
of counseling centers for bereaved parents.

Interclub

Paul Herring

The Interclub Committee is responsible for scheduling and
coordinating visits to meetings of other Kiwanis clubs. They
also coordinate visits of other clubs to our meetings. These
visits are called "Interclubs." Their purpose is to
promote good will and comradery among clubs and to share best
practices regarding club meetings and other functions.

Development

The Membership Development Committee, led by the Club Vice
President, is responsible for the recruitment and orientation of
new club members, as well as the education and retention of all
club members.

Building

Bill Loftin

The New Club Building Committee is responsible for supporting
Division and District goals for the development of new Kiwanis
Clubs, including Sponsored Youth and Aktion Clubs. This
committee may be called on to work directly with other clubs in
our Division or to work directly with the Georgia District.

Programs

The Programs Committee is responsible for
providing the most effective club meeting possible. Areas
of focus include the meeting program, facilities, reception,
fellowship and inter-club relations as well as other areas the
committee may deem pertinent.

Public Relations

Chairman

The Public Relations Committee is responsible for ensuring that all club
activities are publicized as appropriate. The committee
routinely publishes a club bulletin, maintains a club web site,
and develops brochures and other materials to publicize club
activities. They also provide news releases, as appropriate,
to local news media and Kiwanis District or Kiwanis
International Publications.

Sponsored Youth

The Sponsored Youth Committee is responsible for establishing and
supporting Sponsored Youth Programs in our service area.
Programs include: Circle K Clubs in colleges and
Universities; Key Clubs in high schools; Builders Clubs in middle
schools; and K Kids in elementary schools. Currently we
sponsor the following clubs:
● Key Club at Northgate High School
● Builders Club at Smokey Road Middle School

Young Children
Priority One

The
Young Children Priority One Committee coordinates with and
supports a wide variety of community organizations and activities
that focus primarily on supporting needy or at-risk children under
school age. The committee chairman serves on the Board of
Directors of the Alliance for Children's Enrichment (ACE), which
is the Coweta County Family Connections organization. This
committee works closely with the Youth Services Committee, in that
their focus and activities sometimes overlap.

Youth Services

The Youth Services Committee coordinates with and supports a wide
variety of community organizations and activities that focus
primarily on supporting needy or at-risk children of school age.
Activities of this committee include recruiting club members to
serve as mentors to school children needing special assistance and
helping conduct events such as Special Olympics and Very Special
Arts.
